3/21/08 - Durham, NC

DM Mobile will track Aaron Meadows new group on April 19, 2008 in Durham, NC. Thurman “Peanut” Woods is producing the album which willl probably be the first “new” project to be mixed in the new facility here at Gemini Pines Studios.

12/22/07 - Liberty, NC

DM Mobile will track the variety music group “Blender” Christmas Show at Liberty Showcase Theater, in Liberty NC. The Theater is an historic 500 seat movie theater that has been converted to accommodate live bands.

Blender, so named for the wide variety of songs and musical styles they perform, are also known as the Liberty Showcase Band. They are: Chad Gaines on vocals, bass and piano; Kristi Gaines on vocals and piano; Brad Gaines on vocals; Dave Bedini on vocals and guitar, Mike Overman on drums and Frante’ Williams on Bass.

This will be the first tracking session to be mixed on the new Digidesign Icon System. We would like to thank Blender for agreeing to be the “test session” and hope to have the mix done shortly.

9/1/07 - GRAHAM, NC

DM Mobile/Gemini Pines has officially applied for construction permits for a new 4 room studio here in Graham, NC. The studio will feature one of the largest control rooms in the southeastern United States.

The room was designed under the direction and guidance of Rod Gervais.

A new group, The Flood is beginning laying down tracks for the follow-up LP of their debut 5 song EP. The working title of the project is “Field Trip”. The Flood was voted as having one of the top 5 new releases of 2001 in the Winston/Greensboro Triad area. Catch The Flood at CD Baby.

Aaron Meadows and Apostolic House of Deliverance (AHOD) Choir, here in Durham are beginning a new live project. Aaron has selected some of the areas best known gospel musicians to play on this project. Aaron is the current drummer for Gospel singer; Shirley Ceaser.

CASTAWAY’S 40 ANNIVERSARY VIDEO RELEASED!

Today, Tony Wrenn, guitar player of Durham’s legendary Rythym & Blues/Beach Music band, The Castaways, announced that the followup video to the band’s November 40th Anniversary Concert, is now available.

The video cronicles the rich 40 year history of one of the Southeastern US’s most popular show bands. The video also incorporates live footage of the band’s recent 40th anniversary reunion concert held in Durham at the Armory. The video shows all 5 “generations” of the band in live performance, as well as conversations with various band members.

The audio for this event was recorded by the RTP mobile multitracking facility; DM Mobile Studios. Engineering was performed by Studio owner, Max Dearing and Chris Chamis.

Proceeds of the video support the “Make A Wish Foundation” of Duke University Medical Center - Children’s Hospital.
