I gotta take a moment to say thanx, once again!

In the face of the mighty storm of Hanna, the barbarian hurricane that failed to mature into a full fledged monster, a lot of seriously emotionally scared lunatics decided to brave the storm, and come rescue my tail from what surely have sent me packing to the hospital… had I decided to be stoopid enough to try putting the MDF up solo.

The cast of an Ernest Hemmingway/Ayn Rand co-authored screenplay couldn’t more accurately describe these guys….

well…. yes it could, but it really isn’t fit for public consumption.

I gotta say thanks to cast, (in order of appearance) Spock, Romulan Commander, Razor, Skeazix and Moonrider.

Spock and RC ran down from Cinci on Thursday evening… we seriously busted tail on Friday morning. We got all the walls buttoned up in the Control Room. WHEW! That was actually less fun than I thought it would be. A lot of cuts makes for a long afternoon when yer’ playing with 3/4″ sheetgoods.

Our ultimate plan for Saturday, was to knock out the control room ceiling, and from there, to the tracking room ceiling.

Razor showed up about the time I rolled in the driveway with biscuits… hmmmmmm….. talk about timing!

Moonrider was rolling down from Richmond and hit a headwind that slowed him down a bit… but he made it before the biscuits got too cold.

Alas, there were family obligations and gigs and we spent a full half day and got 15 sheets up! An amazing amount of progress for the amount of time.

Sorry about the lift guys… it’s all better now.

We did have a short impromptu jam on Sunday morning.

While we didn’t get cranked up too loud, TheBoss© said she could kinda’ make out the music from up at the house. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t loud at all.

Everyone packed up Sunday at about 11:30 and ran away…. quickly.

Just glad that everyone made it home safe and sound.

Again…. Thanx for all the help!! I couldn’t have done it without ya!

OK… a few pix of the last coupla’ days progress… including Sunday’s musical relief…

The next beast to tackle…..  a nice big tall stack of MDF… wooo hooo….

The “AC 30″ was built by Spock as Romulan Commander’s Christmas present… Sounds schweet!

Moonrider’s little Vox is actually a great sounding little amp! … sorry dawg won’t sell it to me though…

The kit’s a little Sonor Jungle Kit… that 18″ kik is a lot more thump than you’ld imagine and the tom’s sound really good in the room.

Of course, there’s been more MDF put up since Sunday, but I figure I’m doing good to get these up.

I talked to the security company installation manager yesterday. Seems they no longer make, or can get, the big multi-core “multimedia” cable in the configuration he told me about. So… back to the original plan of burying conduit with multiple laced runs of Cat6 and RG.
