yeah, yeah, yeah…

I keep promising pix and not delivering, huh?

Well… it’s been rather busy. I’ll definitely get some up today…

Yesterday morning was spent getting tools out to the studio, getting lumber in the building and getting recording gear together.

I started framing the big opening wall yesterday. I didn’t get too far on it for having to bail out for the briefcase gig/recording session. I only managed to get the bottom plate and a couple of studs in place.

OK… here’s your pix… ‘ll start with the pour and move forward;

Well… that’s where I ended this evening. All framed up except the doorway/header.

I’ve gotta find out from Rod the actual rough opening height from the threashold to the bottom of the door header. Since it’s an exterior steel door, I need to be sure that I get it right. You can’t exactly plane one of those things down.

A standard exterior rough opening is 82″ high. There’s a few extra things like a 5/4 door frame and a 1-1/8″ threashold… so, is the opening a standard 82″ or is it 84-1/2″?
